<p>PURPOSE: To improve the characteristics of both manually adjustable, pilot controlled pressure control valves and pilot controlled proportional pressure control valves by providing an axially movable valve piston with an actuating surface being greater than the free cross section of a valve seat and located in a pressure chamber, and pressurizing the pressure chamber. CONSTITUTION: In a pressure control pilot stage including a valve chamber 132 connected to a first control channel 133, a closure cone 104 separable from a valve seat 140, and a pressure-setting spring 106 which urges the closure cone 104 in a seating direction, one side of the valve chamber 132 is axially bounded and a valve piston 110 formed with the valve seat 140 is provided therein. The pilot stage is formed also with connecting channels 142, 144 connecting the free cross section of the valve seat 140 to a second control channel 156 and extending through the valve piston 110, and a pressure chamber 164 connected to a third control channel 158. The valve piston 110 is displaced against the pressure-setting spring 106 by pressurizing the pressure chamber 164.</p> |
