PURPOSE: To make the device small-sized by putting a board, where a capacitor assembly and a circuit which has single-phase inverters formed of parallel- connected couples of half bridges, driven at high frequency are printed between a high and a low potentials, in a cylindrical container having a cooling coil. CONSTITUTION: Unit inverters 1, 1'... are connected in parallel between high and low potentials. The inverter 1 consists of couplers of MOSFETs(MF) 12a to 12d. High-potential side MFs 14 to 17 are turned on and off by a drive means 23 at high frequencies of >=20 kHz and low-potential side MFs 18 to 21 are turned on and off by a drive means 224. Outputs are led out of connection points between a drain D of the MFs 14 to 17 and a sources S of the MFs 18 to 21. A capacitor assembly 30 between the high and low potentials is constituted as a lap capacitor or sheet capacitor on the printed circuit board, where the MFs 14 to 21 are mounted. This printed circuit board is stored in a cylinder having a coil around it and cooled by making a refrigerant flow in the coil. Consequently, the device is miniaturized. |
