PURPOSE:To provide the optical cable for connector connection which is connected to an FDDI connector, is directly connectable to a single core connector as well without using a tube and branching member and is enables the easy and rapid conduction of a connecting operation at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:The optical cable 1 for connector connection is composed of at least >=2 pieces of optical cords 2 which consist of coated optical fibers 6, high-strength fiber layers 7 covering the outer peripheral parts of these coated optical fibers 6 and sheaths 8 covering the outer peripheral parts of the high- strength fiber layers 7 and are formed to the outside diameter side connectable to the single core connector, a paper tape 4 which is wound on the outer peripheral parts of the high-strength fiber layers 7 and the optical cords 7 to retain these layers and cords and an external sheath 5 of the outside diameter size to cover the outer peripheral part of this paper tape 4 and to make the cable connectable to the FDDI connector. |
