PURPOSE:To provide a positive electrode active material layer in which the utilization of a positive electrode active material is enhanced and stress produced by expansion/contraction of the positive electrode active material is relaxed to lengthen the cycle life. CONSTITUTION:A dispersion aqueous solution is prepared by dispersing conductive fine powder insoluble to water in an aqueous solution containing a water soluble active material which forms xerogel when dried (V2O5) in a ratio to the water soluble material of 15wt.% or more but 40wt.% or less. The dispersion aqueous solution is applied to a current collector 3, and dried to form a positive electrode active material layer 4. Irregular layer structure is formed along the outer circumference of the conductive fine powder. The diffusing performance of a negative electrode active material into the positive electrode active material layer is increased and stress produced by charge/discharge inside the positive active material layer is dispersed. |
