EQUIPMENT AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE AGAIN

PURPOSE: To obtain a wide inspection area by providing a two-dimensional array for detectors arranged toward an object so that the array for the detectors being rotated around an axis along a spiral track can be moved to the object. CONSTITUTION: Detectors 2 are arranged in a matrix on lines vertical to a rotational axis and on columns parallel to the rotational axis and identified by a line coordinate (p) and a column coordinate (q) in a plane on an array 1 starting at the center 0 of the array 1. A collimator 3 covering the array 1 is formed of radiation non-transmissive material and provided with plural windows. The windows are arranged in front of the detectors so that the detectors can scan a space on focal lines L oriented to an object 4 to be inspected and therebeyond. All focal lines L are located around the object 4 and guided to Ce belonging to a plane vertical to the axis (X) of the array 1. In case of a spiral track, all focal lines L are guided along a spiral, arc. The focal lines L for the detectors located on lines are converged on a single point (p) and so an area to be scanned is greatly spread.
