PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of brightness or abnormal sound on the surface of a cathode ray tube(CRT) when a power supply is interrupted. CONSTITUTION:This picture display device is provided with a transistor (TR) 8 for changing the driving voltage of a horizontal deflecting circuit 12, a delay circuit 16 for delaying a power supply ON control signal 17 generated in accordance with the ON operation of a power supply by a prescribed time and a TR 22 for apparently boosting the driving voltage of the circuit 12. At the time of interrupting the power supply, the anode voltage of the CRT 14 is reduced and then the operation of the circuit 12 is stopped. |
