PURPOSE: To provide effective and efficient apparatus and method which enables melting and/or processing of raw materials while accomplishing the recycling, combustion and/or vitrifying incineration of waste material. CONSTITUTION: A spatial plasma bonded to or not bonded to a melt pool 36 is produced to enable the generation of a large level of heat flow rate within a small space capacity and ensures efficient heat transfer to materials being processed. This high heat concentration immediately turns into vapor the hydrocarbon volatile components in waste materials of scrap.
