PURPOSE:To facilitate all of the generation, operation, and maintenance of a program. CONSTITUTION:Sequences to be controlled are classified into basic operation sequences regarding the basic operations of individual mechanisms of the automatic machine A and extended operation sequences regarding operation patterns which are partially altered according to the kind of a component or product as an object of operation. The basic operation sequences are assigned to the control program of a programmable controller B and executed, and the extended operation sequences are assigned to the control program of a personal computer I; and necessary extended operation sequences are read out by a preset control program on the personal computer side according to kind information on the component or product from the programmable controller side and executed under interruption control as a substitute for the contents of some of the basic operation sequence on the programmable controller side, so that the automatic machine A performs a series of operations such as machining and assembly of various components and products.
