ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC TONER

PURPOSE:To provide an electrophotographic toner having both releasability and low temperature fixation properties to prevent the winding around the fixing roller and the hot off-set of the toner from occurring. CONSTITUTION:In this toner, the crosslinked structure of the binder in the surface layer of the toner is different from that in the inner layer of the toner and the crosslink density in the surface layer of the toner is higher than that in the inner layer of the toner. This toner preferably consists of polymer particles obtained by subjecting a vinyl monomer to dispersion polymerization and thereafter dyeing the resulting polymer. The polymeric materials in the surface layer and inner layer of the toner are desirably crosslinked by the diacrylate compound represented by the formula: CH2=CR<2>COO-(R<1>)-OOCCR<2>= CH2, wherein R<1> is a specified group and R<2> is hydrogen or an alkyl group.
