PURPOSE: To generate a high-frequency pulse train which is synchronized to an input synchronizing pulse, and can be used for a television receiver, etc. CONSTITUTION: A synchronous digital horizontal deflection system which operates at a frequency of 2×fH generates a first word HDPW indicating the 1/2 length of a period H between horizontal synchronizing pulses HS and generates a first signal CMa having a first frequency fH synchronized to the horizontal synchronizing pulses HS. The system also generates a second signal CMb having a second frequency fH by shifting the first signal CMa in time by the 1/2 of the period H in accordance with the first word HDPW. A multiplexer MUX 40 generates horizontal deflection control signals CMa and CMb having a frequency of 2×fH by multiplexing the first and second signals CMa and CMb, to control the timing of the retracing period of the output stage 41 of a deflection circuit. |
