PURPOSE: To provide structure enabling scrub operation for performing the wiping of a contact part with a connector wherein contacts are fixed to a diaphragm. CONSTITUTION: This connector is provided with retaining parts 10, an elastic diaphragm 12 which is stretched between the retaining parts 10 and has an intermediate contact part, a plurality of contacts 14 on the contact part, and a layer 50 composed of material like metal which is not comparatively extensible. The layer 50 is fixed to the diaphragm 12 so as to restrict stretch of the diaphragm all over the main part of the diaphragm 12 between the retaining parts 10 and the contact part.
