Vice intended to be mounted on a machine for cutting (reproducing) keys with frontal bitting for Bramah locks and including two jaws, namely a fixed jaw (3) and a moving jaw (3'), between which the key or key blank (C) to be operated on can be completely immobilised, the vice being characterised in that the fixed jaw (3) and the moving jaw (3') are mounted on a vice element (6) articulated to the bed (5) of the vice about a pivot (7) orthogonal to the longitudinal axis (x-x') of the key or key blank (C) to be operated on, so as to allow it to occupy various angular positions ( alpha ) thus allowing keys or key blanks, the bittings of which have different inclinations of cut, to be worked on. <IMAGE>
