The subject of this invention is an ergonomic chair with a central underframe (underframe and pneumatic cylinder aside), using essentially the capacity of plastic deformation of the materials from which it is made, in order to provide the comfort and flexibility of use associated with this kind of chair, such that the chair assembly is capable of, among other things, tilting forwards (1) and backwards (2) when the centre of gravity of the user of the chair moves (4), or such that, in another version of said chair, the seat and back (3) can be tilted separately, this chair being characterised in that the sites of plastic deformation are conditioned by the special geometry of the chair, and in that this special geometry obviates the need for most of the intermediate mechanisms and systems generally found on this kind of chair, such as upholstery, and such as hinged parts, pneumatic cylinders, springs, and all kinds of mechanisms for transmitting forces and movements. <IMAGE> |
