PURPOSE:To prevent engine racing and a speed change shock by controlling lock up hydraulic pressure in accordance with a hydraulic control pattern set higher than previous one by a specified amount in the case when the maximum rising value of engine speed at the time of previous speed change actuation exceeds a set value. CONSTITUTION:A lock up hydraulic control means 31 furnished on an electronic control device B computes actual engine speed R1 of an engine and standard engine speed R2 at elapsed time (t), finds a difference (r) of the engine speed R1, R2 and stores it. It reads the maximum value (rmax) of the engine speed difference (r), judges whether the maximum value (rmax) exceeds a set value (ro) or not, and in the case when the result of judgement here is NO, controls lock up hydraulic pressure in accordance with the same hydraulic control pattern as previously. Subsequently, when it is judged as YES, in accordance with a hydraulic control pattern set higher than previously by a specified amount, the lock up hydraulic pressure is controlled. Consequently, occurrence of peak in change of engine speed is restrained. |
