PURPOSE:To obtain an image processor which can execute the circumscribed rectangle calculation processing of linked areas at a high speed in real time and can be miniaturized by reducing the number of circuit parts by counting the coordinates of pixel label data inputted by a raster scan system, comparing the counted output with the intermediate calculated result of a circumscribed rectangle coordinate and updating the coordinate. CONSTITUTION:A label value is correspondent to the address of a two-port memory 601, the apex coordinates (four points) of the circumscribed rectangle of the respective label values are stored, the read is controlled by a read control circuit 613, and the write is controlled by a write control circuit 614. Then, the circumscribed rectangle apex coordinates read out of the two-port memory 601 are given to a calculation circuit 100, and the output and the coordinates read out of the two-port memory 601 are selected in synchronism with a clock signal and given to the calculation circuit. Thus, the coordinates of pixel label data inputted by the raster scan system are counted, and those coordinates are updated while comparing the counted output with the intermediate calculated result of the circumscribed rectangle coordinates. |
