PURPOSE:To make discrimination ability for a specific original almost to 100% by detecting the wavelength component of light reflected on the ground of an original by a photosensor and detecting the conformity of the specific original by picture signal from the photosensor or a chrominance signal sent from a color separation table. CONSTITUTION:When an operator opens a platen cover, loads an original on platen glass, sets up the number of copies through an operation panel 10, and depresses a copy switch, a control part 30 turns on a light source 2 and scans the original at a prescribed speed while irradiating the original with white light in a strip shape. The control part 30 moves a V mirror part M2 in the same direction at 1/2 the speed of the light source 2 to allow the photosensor PH to receive the reflected light from the original through the 1st to 3rd mirrors 3 to 5. This picture reproducing device having this constitution can automatically execute proper density adjustment for an original prior to the formation of an image, execute proper density compensation by the shape of an obtained density histogram and detect the size of the original by counting the number of yellow bands of the platen cover. |
