PURPOSE:To obtain a dye laser output with high efficiency and a high output, while optical damages of a dye cell can be avoided by a method wherein a function is given that an excited beam is condensed on a dye cell itself for use in an oscillator and an amplifier. CONSTITUTION:As an excited beam 2 with high energy density is prevented from being emitted to a dye cell 3 itself, the excited beam 2 is directly received by a dye cell 3 without passing through a cylindrical lens, accordingly without condensing the excited beam 2. Also, a dye cell inner wall surface 16 is projected to function itself as the cylindrical lens so as to condense the received excited beam 2 within a flow path of the dye cell 3. Then, as the cylindrical lens is not used, the excited beam 2 is not condensed on the dye cell itself, whereby the dye cell 3 can be avoided burning due to the excited beam 2 of high energy. |
