PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of picture transmission by controlling the quantity of compressed data in the case of converting multi-valued information into binary information and transmitting a compressed data. CONSTITUTION:In the case of connecting a connector of a core part 10 to a reader part 1, four kinds of signals, i.e., a multi-valued video signal, are built in the connector and a CPU in the reader part 1 is allowed to execute communication. A video signal to be a bidirectional signal can input/output information obtained from the reader part 1 to/from the core part 10. A single direction signal is separated from the bidirectional signal and the multi-valued video signal from the reader part 1 is inputted to a succeeding filter. An output signal from the filter is inputted to a binarizing circuit or a selector and a signal selected from the binarizing circuit or the selector is inputted to a succeeding rotation circuit which is not shown in accordance with a CPU instruction through a FAX part 4, a file part 5, a computer interface part 7, a format part 8, and an image memory part 9. |
