PURPOSE:To provide the automatic accompaniment device which can generate a more natural accompaniment sound. CONSTITUTION:In an accompaniment pattern data process which is executed by an electronic keyboard, flags F1-Fn are updated (S110-S140) based on control data in accompaniment pattern data. When the flag of sounding data is 0 when the sounding data are read in, pitch conversion data corresponding to a code type are retrieved in a data table and a pitch shift process which shifts up and down the pitch data of the sounding data by the value of the conversion data is performed, but when the flag is 1, on the other hand, a pitch nonshift process which outputs the sounding data to the process of the following stage without shifting the pitch data is performed (S150-S200). Consequently, an accompaniment sound which matches a code type and gives no sensation of physical disorder is normally generated by the pitch shift process, but when a normal accompaniment sound is obtained without shifting the pitch data, the pitch nonshift process is performed to generate the accompaniment sound faithful to the pitch data. |
