PURPOSE:To improve production efficiency, to rationalize production processes and to improve quality in the process for production of the color filter. CONSTITUTION:The color filter formed with a black mask 3 and many pixels R, G, B or plural colors on a light transmissive substrate 2 is provided with projecting lines 21, 22 in a direction where a resin liquid for forming pixels when this resin liquid is dropped on the surface of the substrate 2, and on the outer side of the black mask 3. Further, scales 23 corresponding to the disposing pitch of the pixels R, G, B aligned in the longitudinal direction of the projecting lines 21, 22 are formed on these projecting lines. Symbols for identifying the pixels are formed within the regions 24 where the storage capacitance electrodes of a TFT substrates face each other within the through-holes 3a of the black matrix 3 prior to the formation of the pixels in the color filter for FT-LCD. Resin patterns 32 are formed on the edges 3b of the black matrix 3. |
