PURPOSE:To decide character arrangement capable of speedily allowing a character string to flow into a frame by automatically setting the quarter number of a character, pitch between characters, the gap of a character string, a line feed pitch or the number of lines between a small size letter string and a next small size letter string by means of fuzzy processing. CONSTITUTION:Outline data of the frame provided with optional two-dimensional shape is inputted to a first memory area 21 by an operator. Fir example, at the time of using the map of a vehicle, etc., as the frame, a scanner 13 reads its outline as the set of plural coordinate points expressing a spline curve or a Bejer curve. Next, a series of character strings to be framed are directly inputted to a second memory area 22 by a key board 11 or a tablet 12 or inputted to the area 22 by way of a storage medium such as a floppy disk, etc. The character string pitch of each character and a line feed code which is peoperly made to join by framing operation are successively stored in a third memory area by the input of the character strings. |
