PURPOSE:To provide a range-finding device preventing photographing based on erroneous distance information. CONSTITUTION:A light projecting part 1 projects light to an object, and a light receiving part 2 receives reflected light reflected by the object and detects a light receiving position as twodimensional information. A distance information arithmetic part 3 calculates information on the distance to the object and a displacement information arithmetic part 4 calculates displacement along a direction nearly perpendicular to the base length of the reflected image. Furthermore, a received light quantity arithmetic part 5 calculates the quantity of reflected light, an erroneous range-finding deciding part 6 decides based on output from the arithmetic parts 4 and 5 whether or not the reflected light is normal, and a subject distance deciding part 7 decides the distance to the subject based on output from the deciding part 6 and the arithmetic part 3. |
