PURPOSE:To provide a manual transmission for a vehicle capable of preventing falling of a gear without deteriorating shift feeling. CONSTITUTION:A manual transmission furnished with a shift control system 2 to shift and operate a speed change gear mechanism and a gear side lever member 7 for shift selection provided to project one end of it from a transmission main body 1. The shift control system 2 is constituted by furnishing a shift lever member provided inside of a cabin and a shift rod 4 interposed between one end of the shift lever member and a projected end of the gear side lever member 7, and it is constituted to connect a counter mass 12 resisting inertial force of the shift control system to the gear side lever member 7 through an arm member 11.
