FRICTION TYPE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION

PURPOSE:To prevent lubricating oil for a bearing for supporting an output shaft from leaking from a transmission case in a friction type continuously variable transmission adapted to change the speed of rotation of the input shaft and transmit the same to the output shaft by bringing a double cone contact with an input shaft and the output shaft. CONSTITUTION:A pocket 13 is provided between an output shaft 2 and a transmission case on the side of a bearing 9, and a disc-like slinger 14 projected over the surface of the output shaft 2 is disposed in the interior of the pocket 13. When lubricating oil which has flowed into the pocket 13 comes into contact with the rotating slinger 14, it is blown off in the circumferential direction of the pocket 13 by the centrifugal force to be discharged from an outlet path 10.
