The invention relates to a device for apportioning the action of an actuator member of an automobile on two braking members of this vehicle, comprising a primary cable (1) to be connected at one end to the actuator member and furnished at the other end with a threaded tip (2) and a compensating bar comprising two opposing cheeks (3, 4) joined together by a wall (8) having a drilling, the threaded tip (2) being intended to be engaged in the space (10) formed between the cheeks (3, 4) and introduced into the drilling so as to be retained therein axially by screwing a nut (11). The cheeks have two housings each able to allow the hooking up of one end of a secondary cable to be connected at the other end to a braking member. The device includes a rotation-blocking piece (12) integral with the tip and having two opposite faces (13, 14) which are capable of contacting respectively the two cheeks (3, 4) so as to limit the possibility of rotation of the threaded tip (2) in the drilling during the operation of screwing or unscrewing the nut (11), whilst permitting axial displacement of the threaded tip (2) in the drilling. <IMAGE>
