发明名称 COLLISION DETECTION DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a mercury switch-type collision detection device in which a fault in a nonoperating mode can be inspected easily. CONSTITUTION:The collision detection device is provided with a first gas chamber 21 which is formed inside a container 20 and in which mercury 10 and a gas are sealed and with electric contacts 31a, 31b which are installed inside the first gas chamber 21 and which are opened and closed electrically according to the movement of the mercury 10. In the collision detection device, the mercury 10 is moved up to a prescribed position inside the first gas chamber 21 when the deceleration speed of a vehicle becomes a prescribed value or higher, and the electric contacts 31a, 31b are closed. The collision detection device is provided with a second gas chamber 22 which is formed so as to be adjacent to the first gas chamber 21 and inside which a gas is sealed and with a communication passage 23 by which the second gas chamber 22 communicates with the first gas chamber 21. In addition, the collision detection device is provided with electric contacts 31c, 31d which are installed inside the second gas chamber 22 and which are closed electrically by the mercury 10 which is moved to the second gas chamber 22 from the first gas chamber 21 via the communication passage 23 and with a heating means 51 which heats the sealed gas inside the first gas chamber 21, and one end side of the communication passage 23 is inserted into the mercury 10 which is sealed inside the first gas chamber 21.
