Mechanism consisting of a train of platforms that, suspended from rolling shafts linked together by means of connecting rods, constitute a chain assembly that travels along pairs of rails (tracks) arranged in two parallel planes forming a closed circuit and on which platforms the motor vehicles or the containers of goods are transported, without these having to move by their own means, the mechanism having a single drive system external to the train that allows the whole assembly to move in a synchronized and automatable manner, so that a minimum amount of surface area is taken up by a single parking space. The mechanism is designed in such a way that the vehicle or container can easily access the platform on which it is to be parked and, once it has been parked, all the movements for storage and return thereof are automatic and require no manoeuvring of the parked vehicle. <IMAGE>
