An automatic slewing stop control device for a crane for eliminating influence from elastic vibrations to thereby secure good stopping accuracy comprising a first operating means for operating a slewing control lower limit time (Tmin) based on the dynamic characteristics of a slewing angular speed control system, a second operating means for determining an oscillating cycle (T) of a suspending load, a third operating means for selecting a minimum natural number satisfying a relation nT>/=Tmin and a braking and stopping control means for braking a slewing body so as to stop it at an angular acceleration speed ( alpha ) shown in an equation alpha = - OMEGA 0/nT ( OMEGA 0; a slewing angular speed of the slewing body immediately before the start of an automatic slewing stop control).
