In order to permit the transport of a different number of bicycles on the rear of a vehicle, bicycle supports are equipped with supplementary elements which take up storage space when not in use and have to be mounted with a considerable amount of effort. The new bicycle support is to be adaptable to different numbers of bicycles without supplementary parts having to be mounted. The bicycle support is composed of a fastening support (1) and a resting support (2) which is composed of a plurality of parts (3, 4), one part (3) being fastened to the fastening support and the other part (4) being displaceable with respect to the latter and with respect to each other. They can be fastened in different positions which means that the length of the resting supports can be modified and adapted to the number of bicycles to be transported. <IMAGE>
