<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of inducer stalls by arranging the area of a diffuser throat part variable and by introducing a part of liquid from the outlet to the inlet to blow it out at the inlet. CONSTITUTION:A disc 6 to which diffuser vanes 5 are attached is moved in parallel to an impeller shaft 3, this makes possible to make 1, different from 2 thus changing the area of the diffuser throat, and the fluid outlet 17 of the diffuser and the fluid inlet 15 of the impeller 1 are connected with a fluid passage 18 whose area at the opening 20 is changed by the displacement of the diffuser vane mounting disc 6, and thus a part of fluid at the outlet is introduced to the inlet owing to the pressure difference between the outlet and the inlet and is blown out at the inlet. By so constructing, the change of the throat area results in the change of flow quantity through the pump, and the quantity of the jet flow from the outlet 17 to the inlet 15 is increased as the throat area is decreased, therefore, the occurrence of inducer stalls is prevented.</p> |
