A method of reducing spillage when pouring liquid out from a first container in a second container having a narrow inlet opening, including the following steps. Firstly, place an inverted funnel-form screw cap onto the first container, the funnel-form screw cap having a flow channel sealed by a frangible membrane. Secondly, inverting the first container and inserting the funnel-form screw cap into the inlet opening of the second container. Thirdly, effecting relative rotation of the funnel-form screw cap and the first container thereby rupturing the frangible membrane and allowing liquid in the first container to flow through the flow channel of the funnelform screw cap into the second container.
