Proposed is a hatch-cover assembly for the deck (1) of a cargot ship, in which part of the edge of the hatch cover (2) overlaps the coaming (1). The support for the hatch cover (2) on the coaming consists of several pillars (3), spaced round the edge of the hatch cover and mounted on the coaming, over each of which a flexible tensioning member (13) passes, the ends (13, 14) of which are attached to the hatch cover. The hatch cover is thus hung from the pillars. |
