A device for displaying the beginning or the end of parking time may be easily built in or integrated into a vehicle. The device has a display arrangement (1) and a control coupled to the ignition which actuates the display arrangement (1) so that the moment in time when the ignition is switched off is automatically displayed as the beginning of parking. The control has a transmission unit (7) which emits control signals depending on the state of the ignition. The display arrangement (1) has a control signal reception unit.
