摘要 In the case of a method for calibration of randomly elliptical, orthonormal polarization bases, power is taken from a received radar transmission pulse and the pulse is sent back to the transmitting radar, with a delay. Three measurements are subsequently carried out at different rotation angles to the horizontal of a linear-polarized channel-horn antenna (groove-horn antenna) of the radar calibration equipment, the first rotation angle ( PSI I) being determined by the orientation angle ( phi ) of the major half axis of the first base vector of the orthogonal base to be calibrated, the second rotation angle ( PSI II) being determined by the orientation angle ( phi ) of the major half axis of the second base vector of the orthogonal base to be calibrated, and the third rotation angle ( PSI III) being determined by half the difference between the first and second rotation angles. Finally, the relative system transfer characteristics are determined with the aid of three scatter matrices, which can be evaluated by the three rotation angle configurations, of the radar calibration equipment, with the criteria which are to be implemented being converted, in that defined, relative matrix elements are evaluated.
