A telephone handset comprises a housing which defines a cavity in which a loudspeaker and a microphone are accommodated, and reveals the characteristic that the microphone and/or the loudspeaker is/are connected to the housing via a supple suspension in such a way that the transfer of the mechanical vibrations from the loudspeaker to the microphone is blocked, and that the microphone and/or loudspeaker is/are connected to the housing in such a way that the transfer of the sound emitted by the loudspeaker to the microphone via the aforementioned cavity is blocked.
