1281440 Cell casings HELLESENS AS 9 Oct 1970 [21 Oct 1969] 48143/70 Heading H1B The metal casing 1 forming one electrode of a cell is sealed at the top by a rubber gasket 5 cooperating with a metal cap 2 forming the other electrode. The cap 2 is connected to the cell through a connector 3 and is coated on both sides with a tough, non-ferrous insulating film 6. Preferably, the film 6 is of polyethylene. To use the cell the film is removed from the top of the cap 2 and to facilitate this removal a metal disc 7 with a tag 8 may be positioned between the film and the cap, this tag being pulled to remove the disc. The tag 8 also permits the cell to be tested before it is put into use. |
