THREE-DIMENSIONAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To form the three-dimensional display device which can generate images for right and left eyes into an image with no difference in time and brightness, can reduce fatigue and enables high-quality stereoscopic observation. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a liquid crystal panel 1 for simultaneously displaying N pieces of different parallax images and a renticular lens 2 composed of the array of cylindrical lenses with a lengthwise direction as a vertical direction. The liquid crystal panel 1 repeatedly performs processing for vertically scanning the scanning lines so that the scanning lines of the liquid crystal panel 1 can be matched with the lengthwise direction of cylindrical lenses, for inverting the polarity of an impressing voltage for every N lines of scanning lines and for impressing the voltage of an inverse polarity impressed at a preceding frame for each main scanning line.
