Air bag comprises an inflatable fabric woven with interconnected right and left hand 2 x 1 twill lines extending diagonally for forming diamond shaped areas of plain or other type weave and with some areas of the fabric having smaller diamond areas and the diamond areas having some floated warp yarns over the filling yarns and across the syntehtic continuous filament yarns e.g. of polyester, nylon, etc.
