The apparatus includes an interface controller for generating an instruction signal to a target track number to be searched, an ID read circuit for detecting index information about track location from data output from a demodulator, and a controller for generating a driving signal to a track transfer and for generating an operation completing signal to the interface controller by analyzing ID information output from the ID read circuit, thereby reducing transmitting and receiving time.
