PURPOSE:To obtain a synthetic lubricant which has an excellent compatibility with a norchlvo-fluorocarbon refrigerant in a wide temp. range, is excellent in electrical insulating properties and hydrolysis resistance, and can correspond to a wide range of viscosity grades. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic lubricant is obtd. by using, as the lubricant base oil, an ester derived from a 4-18C monohydric alcohol component contg. at least 50mol% branched alcohols or a 30C or lower neopentyl polyol, a hydroxycarboxylic acid condensate having an average degree of polymn. of 1.2 or higher, and a 4-18C monocarboxylic acid component contg. 50mol% or higher branched monocarboxylic acids. |
