The liquid is sucked in by the underpressure generated by the spinning ventilating ducts 13. The liquid is admitted via the yarn delivery duct 22 and may comprise a treatment fluid e.g. dyeing agent, sizing agent or antistatic agent. The liquid level is determined by relief openings 14 (see also Fig. 2, not shown) which open into ducts 13 or outwards through the chamber wall. Liquid delivery may be pulsed or continuous.
