PURPOSE:To enhance the working effectiveness and the quality by surrounding the peripheral edges of a multi-layer glass with a channel-shaped reinforcing member, and fitting a soft material to the reinforcing member surface; mating with they glass and the outer side face where window frame is fitted. CONSTITUTION:An outer soft material 3 and inner soft material 4 made from vinyl chloride resin are attached to the inside and outside surfaces of a reinforcing member 5 having a channel-shaped section made from aluminum etc. This attachment 1 is cut in compliance with the peripheral dimensions of a multi- layer glass 2, and its edges are fitted to the opening generated, and at the same time, the attachment 1 is secured to the peripheral edges of the glass 2 through the action of the friction of the glass 2 with soft materials 3, 4. The resultant is secured to window frame etc., and strong pinch is made by window frames through the soft material from the sides of attachment 1. Thereby mounting on the window frame can be done directly to lead to enhancement of the working easiness to a great extent, and the soft material can be prevented from shrinking, and also its small exposed area permits reduction of crack initiation due to solar beam. |
