PURPOSE:To obtain a semiconductor ceramic condenser of a laminated shape utilizing anisotropy as in the case of ceramic multilayer condenser by limiting the surface of a specific polycrystal semiconductor fiber and specific resistance of powder. CONSTITUTION:A mixed slurry of titanic acid fiber of the formula TiO2.nH2O ((n) is 1-6) wherein an alkaline earth metal oxide contained is in an amount to provide the molar ratio MO/TiO2>1 (M is an alkaline earth metal) of the alkaline earth metal oxide to TiO2 with a NaCl-based flux is baked to form an alkaline earth metal salt of titanic acid, which is reduced with trivalent or pentavalent metal oxide at 1,100-1,400 deg.C to give polycrystal semiconductor fiber consisting essentially of a TiO2-based perovskite type compound composed of very small crystal particles having a crystal axis orientated in the extension direction of fiber. This polycrystal semiconductor fiber has the surface comprising the reduced product of the TiO2-based pervoskite type compound, <=500OMEGA.cm specific resistance of powder, further an insulating material layer on the surface, and has 5-100mum length and 0.2-2mum diameter. |
