LIGHT EMITTING DIODE RECORDING HEAD

PURPOSE: To provide a light emitting diode recording head comprising an LED array capable of replacing a defective module without damaging an adjacent normal module. CONSTITUTION: A recording head is loaded with M modules consisting of N LEDs and corresponding drivers and consists of a support bar and the support strip plate 40 fixed on the surface of the support bar so as to be electrically and thermally connected thereto. One side surface of the support strip plate comprises M spaced-apart indivisual module supports 14 and the remaining portion of the support strip plate is connected to the module supports by at least one bendable cut-off area 19. M LED dies and corresponding driver module dies are fixed on the surfaces of the module supports and each die contains N linearly arranged LED arrangements. The N LED arrays of each die are overlapped with the spaces between the spaced-apart independent module supports to come into contact with the end parts of N adjacent LED arrays. In these LED arrays, the module support 14 having a defective module can be replaced without damaging the adjacent module.
