PURPOSE:To provide a production process for formed ceramics of high strength enough to give desired high-strength products of three-dimensional shapes without machining of a sintered ceramic. CONSTITUTION:A sintered ceramic of a simple shape is prepared by atmosphere- sintering a ceramic powder of less than 10 micron crystalline particles and is subjected to compressive super-plastic deformation more than 25% at a strain rate of less than 1X10<-2>/sec over 1,000 deg.C to give the desired high-strength formed product of a three-dimensional shape. |
