PURPOSE:To obtain a cable bead cord in which a nerve of a pneumatic tire can be strengthened more than that of prior art. CONSTITUTION:Small-diameter filaments 16 are continuously spirally wound on a periphery of a mild steel filament 14 until one cable bead cord 10 is completed, and so wound that the seven filaments 16 are disposed on a periphery of an inner core 12 of the filament 14 when seen in a section to form an outer layer 18. The filaments 16 before winding on the core 12 is previously wound in a doughnut state in such a manner that the relationship between its radius R2 of curvature and its radius R1 of curvature of the core 12 is set to R2>=2XR1 to be larger than that of prior art. A nerve of a pneumatic tire can be strengthened by using the cord 10 molded by this method.
