PURPOSE: To improve ink density, water resistance and wet frictional fastness by incorporating a mixture of a polyvinyl alcohol or the like and/or a vinyl acetate copolymer as a binder in an ink receptive layer, and incorporating a quaternary ammonium therein. CONSTITUTION: The printing form for a method for ink jet printing comprises a backing layer, and an ink receptive layer containing a hydrophilic binder and a pigment. In this case, the receptive layer contains a mixture of a polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinylpyrrolidone, vinyl acetate homopolymer and/or vinyl acetate copolymer as a binder, and also contains a quaternary ammonium compound. The quaternary compound contains a polyammonium compound containing 1×10<-3> N of polyethylene sodium sulfonate solution of 15 to 30 ml of cationic property or the other. Further, a maximum amount of the quaternary ammonium compound is set to 10 wt.%. |
