PURPOSE:To stabilize quality and to obtain a stranded wire formed in a smooth curve by rubbing the curve forming side of metallic stranded wire by a curve working die while the wire is applied with tensile force and both ends of wire are held. CONSTITUTION:One end of the stranded wire 2 is held and fixed by a holding hand 3, the wire 2 is passed so it is rubbed by the outer circumference of curve working die 4 and another end of wire 2 is held and fixed by a tensile force applying and holding hand 5. The wire 2 is applied with a specific tensile force by the holding hand 5 in the axial direction and extended without sagging. Then, the holding hand 3 is relatively back-and-forth moved to the die 4 with a specific moving amount so the outer circumference of die 4 is continuously (more than one time) rubbed by the wire 2. Thus, local fine bending is continuously performed when the die is rubbed by the wire and the plastic deforming part of fine bending appears as a curve when the wire is released from the device to be free from the tensile force. |
