PURPOSE:To switch all the drivers in the optimum driving position by storing face images of drivers with a camera in a compartment, computing upper and lower positions of their eye images, finding deviation from the upper- and lower- direction standard eye positions of the eyes of a driver having standard proportion, and controlling a driving posture restriction means at the driving posture restriction position according to drivers. CONSTITUTION:A face image from a camera 3 on an instrument panel 2 is stored in an image data storage means A1 in an image processor so as to find the coordinates of right and left eye images of a driver by an image processing means A2. Based on it, the upper and lower positions of the eyes are computed by the upper and lower position computing means A3 so as to find deviation of the upper and lower positions of this time from the upper-and lower-direction standard eye positions of the driver having standard proportion in the driving posture control means A4. The driving posture restriction means is thus adjusted in a driving posture restriction position according to physical proportions. Namely, height and sliding quantity are revised by a power seat controller 14 so that tilt quantity and telescoping quantity may be revised by a steering controller 16. |
