PURPOSE:To markedly reduce the consumption of steam being an external vulcanizing heat source by providing a steam chamber to the rear surface of a tire vulcanizing mold and supplying steam only to the steam chamber as the external vulcanizing heat source to vulcanize a tire. CONSTITUTION:Steam chambers 9 are provided at least behind molds 4, 5 and high temp. and high pressure steam is introduced into the steam chambers 9 from steam introducing ports 10 at every vulcanization cycle and a tire is vulcanized without supplying dome steam as is conventional and the steam in the steam chamber 9 is discharged from the discharge ports 10. Since only the chamber steam is used as an external heat source to vulcanize the tire, it is unnecessary to open upper and lower domes 2, 3 in order to blow steam at every vulcanization cycle of the tire and the heat of the domes 2, 3 and the vulcanization molds 4, 5 is not removed and the tire can be vulcanized with excellent heat efficiency. |
